The parents of her May-Britt family as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to pursue music not as an occupation or pastime but as a way to develop. In order to do so, she began writing original compositions. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her most favored writers. In response to her mother's advice that people shouldn't be trying to become famous with her songwriting, but instead recognize the significance of their lives and their impact on society. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and began writing music at age nine. Her family didn't have any idea until she was fourteen. Aurora had no idea of being famous. The singer claims she is a fan of writing songs. For her, music is the most effective method to experience anything.
